It was with great pleasure that we heard the news today that you have received the Right Livelihood Award for 2010.
The Physicians for Human Rights is an organization well qualified to receive the alternative Nobel Prize after many years of working and promoting the right to health, social justice and human rights for all people in Israel and Palestine.
Your work has not only been important and played a progressive role in Israel and Palestine, but has also been recognized in the whole Middle East and many other countries in the world.
Many organizations and persons have cooperated with you as well as received your help. PGS has during these years frequently worked together with you and also have had contact with you through our partner organizations Palestinian Medical Relief Society and Gaza Community Mental Health Programme.
We would like to salute your important efforts and look forward and to continued cooperation around our common goal of the right to health and human rights for all people in both Israel and Palestine.
